As of Thursday 9 September, works will start to remove the existing roundabout and install new traffic lights with pedestrian crossings on all approaches.

When the construction begins, the intersection will be temporarily closed and have in place various detours as part of a comprehensive traffic management plan.

The duration of the Stage 1 works will continue for 4 weeks with 1 additional week for clearing the site for access and use to begin before Stage 2 works continue. The planned end of works for Stage 1 is Thursday 14 October 2021.
