Arts and Culture Strategy
Our Moreland Arts Strategy 2017-22 (PDF 4Mb) guides our commitment to strengthening the creative sector and enhancing Merri-bek as a destination for the arts. This strategy is also available as a Microsoft Word document (Moreland Arts Strategy 2017-22 (DOC 6Mb)).
The strategy outlines how we aim to enhance the capacity of Merri-bek's creative sector to maintain and grow creative practices and increase participation in our arts and culture program for the whole community.
We deliver this through the following three key roles.
- As a Producer where we initiate, coordinate and deliver events, festivals, programs, and exhibitions.
- As a Supporter where we encourage a thriving creative sector through investment, facilitation, and advocacy.
- As a Cultivator where we employ various strategies to engage with the community and build arts audiences across our community.
