Brunswick Music Festival special projects expressions of interest now open

Brunswick Music Festival is now accepting expressions of interest (EOIs) for special projects or events for inclusion in our 2027 Program.

We want to hear your big ideas. We’re looking for exciting show concepts, venue take-overs, full concert lines ups, special music projects, the creation of new work, album releases, or other ideas that can happen only in a festival context.

Expressions of Interest Open: Monday 10 August 2026
Online EOI Information Session: Thursday 20 August 2026, 6:00pm to 7:00pm. Register for the online EOI information session.
Expressions of Interest Close: 11:59 pm, Sunday 13 September 2026

Brunswick Music Festival Welcomes New Programmer El Chantry

Merri-bek City Council is pleased to announce the appointment of El Chantry as the new Programmer for Brunswick Music Festival.

El Chantry is the Programming Manager at Melbourne Recital Centre, where she has curated the Centre's contemporary music program since 2018.

With more than 15 years' experience across music programming, festival production, partnership development and creative leadership, her career has included roles with Melbourne Music Week, Creative Partnerships Australia and Gertrude Street Projection Festival.

Associate Festival Producer EOI

We are currently seeking an experienced Associate Festival Producer to join our team to produce Carols by the Lake 2026, and work with the team to deliver elements of the 2027 Brunswick Music Festival. For more information see Carols by the Lake.
