Thanks for a joyful Brunswick Music Festival 2024!

Brunswick Music Festival this year was another joy-filled celebration of our community.

We kicked off as promised with Sydney Road Street Party. The street was filled with people, artists, unexpected performances, delicious food, excellent ethical goods, and perfect weather, all resulting in our largest turnout yet.

The 8 days that followed did not disappoint. At the much-loved Estonia House we enjoyed Australian icons Yothu Yindi, USA’s Wednesday, Zambia's WITCH, the Balinese/Australian Saudara Sound System, Highly Contiguous with USA’s The Sneaks, and others. MJ Lenderman rocked the full house at Howler, Rubix was alive with the IN2STELLAR show, our Future River International Women’s Day show was sublime, Live at the Library was beautiful, and so many other shows ran to the delight of patrons all over Brunswick.

We are particularly happy with this year’s “Bulleke-bek” Journey initiative which saw 15 venues present free shows in a musical tour of Brunswick. What was your favourite?

Thanks to everyone who came with us through the venue change for Music for the Mob. The extreme heat meant an outdoor event was not viable this year, but the indoor show was deadly.
