Melbourne Design Week- Brunswick Design District Open Studios

14 Apr 2026

The BDD (Brunswick Design District) invites visitors to step behind normally closed studio doors across two days of discovery: celebrating local creativity, craftsmanship, and innovation.

Friday 15th an Saturday 16 May, 2026

There are 12 unique studios participating in this exclusive opportunity featuring a wide range of practices from large-scale sculpture, to millinery, illustration to lighting, furniture to fashion and textiles, printmaking to photography and music to medical breakthrough technology.

Each studio is hosting their own showcase with some presenting talks, exhibitions, hands on workshops and even an exclusive dinner.

This event is part of Melbourne Design Week 2026, an initiative of the Victorian Government through Creative Victoria.

The Brunswick Design District (BDD) is a creative precinct supporting businesses, start-ups, designers, artists, makers, musicians, venues, and world-class education.

Supported through a partnership between RMIT University, Merri-bek City Council and Creative Victoria.
