Council services continue through industrial action

Merri-bek City Council is currently joined in a multi-employer bargaining process with seven other councils in Melbourne and four unions.
Bargaining began in March this year and is continuing, but there is some ongoing industrial action by the Australian Services Union.
There is no current industrial action by the ASU affecting bin collections or other types of industrial action that is likely to result in a direct halt to services being delivered to the community.
