Public notice: Proposed Creation of Easement at 5 Walter Street Hadfield

Merri-bek City Council (Council) gives notice under section 114 of the Local Government Act 2020 (the Act), that it intends to grant two easements over the Council-owned land at 5 Walter Street, Hadfield, in favour of Jemena Electricity Networks (VIC) Ltd.
The proposed easements are only over the land within Council’s Hadfield Operations Centre, being the land contained in certificate of title Volume 8336 Folio 730, being Lot 2 on LP54826, and Volume 11657 Folio 074, being Lot 2 on PS739395C, as shown on the plan/map below.
The easements are being proposed to allow for the installation of two new substation kiosks, to be installed entirely within Council land.
A decision as to whether to grant the easements will be made following the conclusion of the 4-week public notice period on 31 August 2026.
