Following community feedback, we’ve simplified the process for submitting an expression of interest to deliver a Ramadan or Eid community event in Fawkner in 2027.
We're also hosting information sessions to guide potential applicants through the process and answer questions
Information sessions:
- Saturday 5 September 10am-11am
- Wednesday 9 September 6.30pm-7.30pm
Both sessions will be held at the Fawkner Meeting Room, C.B. Smith Reserve, 77 Jukes Road, Fawkner.
No bookings are required for the information sessions.

We are inviting local community groups, organisations and clubs to help bring Fawkner’s 2027 Ramadan/Eid community event program to life.
We are seeking local groups, organisations and clubs with the experience and capacity to plan, deliver and manage a welcoming, inclusive event for our community.
Fawkner-based businesses may be considered where they partner with a group that meets the eligibility criteria.
We want the event to celebrate Ramadan and create opportunities for people from diverse backgrounds to connect, learn from one another and develop a greater understanding of Ramadan, Muslim cultures and community traditions.
