Become a Merri-bek Community Connector

We are excited to announce that applications for the Merri-bek Community Connectors 2026-27 are now open.
Community Connectors help us share important messages with our diverse community in Merri-bek and give us feedback about their needs.
If you speak English and another community language and have strong connections in your community, we encourage you to apply!
All ages, backgrounds, and abilities are welcome to apply.
As a Connector, you will:
- Share Council information with multicultural community members.
- Serve as a bridge between Merri-bek City Council and multicultural communities, helping to strengthen communication.
- Provide advice on the most effective ways your community can access information.
- Be connected with like-minded, community-oriented people from all over Merri-bek.
- Attend free capacity building training
- Receive a certificate of appreciation from Merri-bek City Council upon completing your term.
Apply online, fill out the Expression of Interest (EOI) form
You can also pick up and complete a paper application form at a Merri-bek Library or customer service centre.
Applications close on Sunday, 13 September.
