From volunteers and young changemakers to community leaders and local organisations – we know that there are so many people working hard everyday to make Merri-bek a better place.
The Merri-bek Community Awards are your opportunity to celebrate the people and projects that make our community stronger, more inclusive, creative and sustainable.
If you know an individual or group who lives, works, studies, plays or volunteers in Merri-bek and who deserves recognition for their contribution over the past 12 months, this is your moment to shine a light on their story.

- Environmental Sustainability Award (in recognition of John Englart)
- Volunteer of the Year Award
- Youth Impact Award
- Honouring Women Award
- Diversity & Inclusion Award
- Sport & Recreation Achievement Award
- Community Initiative of the Year Award
- Arts & Creative Expression Award
- First Peoples Cultural Leadership Award (in recognition of Lisa Bellear)
- Merri-bek Community Police Leadership Award (nominations open to Victoria Police members only)
Nominations close at 5pm on Monday 24 August. Winners will be announced at an awards ceremony on Thursday 8 October.
