Merri-bek City Council elects new Deputy Mayor

Merri-bek City Council elected Cr Helen Davidson to serve as Deputy Mayor for the remainder of the 2025-2026 term at a Special Council Meeting on Friday 27 March.
Cr Davidson thanked fellow Councillors and the community for the opportunity to serve alongside Mayor Nat Abboud as Deputy Mayor.
“I look forward to delivering on the goals and aspirations of our Council Plan to deliver quality core services and outstanding customer experience,” she said.
“Together, as one community proudly diverse, we are building a vibrant future for Merri-bek.”
