Handprint totems complete Foletta Park upgrades

Brunswick's youngest residents added a personal touch to the upgraded HW Foletta Park this week.
On Monday morning, children from Brunswick Kindergarten, Brunswick Neighbourhood House and Brunswick Creche and Day Nursery visited the park to leave their painted handprints on a collection of totems that were installed as part of the recently completed park upgrade.
The centres often take children to visit the park as a change of scenery, with families often gathering there at the end of the day, so the handprints were a way for the children to contribute to the place that they enjoyed visiting.
The tiny handprints in red, green, blue purple and yellow that decorate the totems will be covered in lacquer to make them more permanent and maintained as an official feature of park decoration.
The playground will be re-opened for all to enjoy on this Thursday morning, 12 December.
