Art

  • Call for submissions! Exhibition and artwork publishing opportunity for 12 - 25 years olds in Merri-bek.

How does home time make you feel? Where do you feel most at home? ‘Home Time’ is an opportunity to explore place, belonging, connection, and the personal. Many daily and routine experiences inspire and inform our creativity – the familiarity of your favourite spot on the couch, the same way you cut through the park when out for a walk, as well as the feelings of displacement when moving towns or moving house or driving past your childhood home to see the front garden completely changed.

These key words and prompts are to inspire you; however, you don’t need to stick to them strictly. Embrace any ideas you have that you feel connect to the theme when creating and considering your submissions.

You are invited to submit artworks of any medium (including writing) that you feel connect to or were inspired by the theme of ‘Home Time’. These will be published in a book of artworks, with the additional opportunity to exhibit your works at the book launch event.
