We are excited to again be able to offer residents of Merri-bek aged over 55 the opportunity to access our Outdoor Help and Garden Maintenance Program. Funds are limited and will be on a first come basis.

The current 24-25 Program is at capacity, we are no longer accepting referrals into this program. We will re-open for referrals on July 1, 2025.

Our team is available to support you with the following tasks for up to the value of $1000 per household:

• Garden clean up and weeding
• Removal of trees
• Pruning back hedges and trees
• Assistance with planting
• Building raised garden beds

What's not included?

• Regular maintenance or multiple visits
• Regular lawn mowing
• Concrete / paving / brick works
• Home maintenance or gutter cleaning.

All the below eligibility criteria apply:

• Must be over 55 years
• On a low income - have a health care card, pension card or veteran affairs card
• Be residing in the home as an owner or renter
• Residence must be located in Merri-bek
• One application per household, per financial year
• If you accessed the program in 2024-2025 you will not be eligible for the 2025-2026 program
• Not receiving a Home Care Package or NDIS funding.
