Making it in Merri-bek - Communicating your Creativity
As part of Making it in Merri-bek 2025, Arts Merri-bek is offering the workshop 'Communicating your Creativity'.
What drives you to be creative? What ideas are you drawn to? How do you like to explore them? What lights you up or inspires you? This two-hour workshop is dedicated to exploring your creative practice. Guided by theatre-maker and facilitator Liv Satchell, through gentle prompts and conversation, you will identify the ‘Why?’, ‘What?’ and ‘How?’ of the kind of art you want to make.
Answering these questions will give you:
- A roadmap for you to follow at the beginning of new art projects.
- Language to share your ideas with potential collaborators.
- Clarity about your practice in potential funding applications.
You will gain the tools for building your creative vision, writing an artist statement and biography, and language for who you are as an artist and how your unique worldview shapes your ideas and ways of working.
This workshop is open to creatives of any discipline.
