Exhibition Opening: From within the infinite flow, Ecologies of Attention, Ama Algorithmus (Mother Algorithm)

Join us for the launch of three new exhibitions exploring the impact of digital culture on human experience.

  • From within the infinite flow brings together five artists exploring the technological systems that increasingly shape our behaviour, identity, and bodily experience. Multi-disciplinary works by Amalia Lindo, Clara Chanisheff, Guy Louden, Katie Paine, and Oliver Hull consider the hidden infrastructures, algorithms, and narratives that shape how we connect, communicate, and understand ourselves. Curated by Sebastian Kainey.
  • Ecologies of Attention by Nadège Philippe-Janon is an installation of oscillating, pendulum-like mechanisms built from everyday materials and activated by simple systems. Building on the familiar hypnotic legacy of the pendulum and the idea that screen addiction is akin to a state of hypnosis, the works also use movement to evoke shifting perspectives.
  • Ama Algorithmus (Mother Algorithm) by Axel Garay is a photo-media and audiovisual installation exploring the mysticism and beliefs surrounding algorithmic technology and its unseen influence on contemporary life. As a proud Meriam (Eastern Torres Strait Islander), Puerto Rican, and Malaysian queer artist living in Narrm, Axel approaches this project as a cultural and conceptual meditation on power, perception, and belief in the digital age.
