Rayner Reserve

The Rayner Reserve playground and barbeque facilities will be closed for reconstruction from Monday 7 March 2022 until construction is completed at the end of May.

This play space reconstruction will be an upgrade for the reserve. You can find out about our consultation with the community for this upgrade to the playspace, and see the final designs on our Conversations Merri-bek website.

The design was created in conversation with our disability planner in order to provide more inclusive play spaces in Merri-bek.

    Walking your dog

      General dog walking information

      At off-leash dog parks you must still keep your dog under control. You can find out more about these rules on our Park amenities and equipment page.

      In all other public places, dogs must be kept in control with a leash, cord, or chain. 

      • Dogs are prohibited from within 15 metres of playgrounds
      • Within creeks.
      • Dogs must be off the field/ground when organised sport is in progress. Dogs must be on a lead within 15 metres of the sporting ground/fence.  Penalties may apply.
