Neighbourhood Noise: Pit Yourself Against by Ma Ei with Naung Yoe

Join us at the Counihan Gallery for a special live performance by Burmese artists singer-songwriter Naung Yoe and exhibiting visual artist Ma Ei. Blending music and movement, the performance responds directly to the themes of Ma Ei’s exhibition, Pit Yourself Against, creating an intimate dialogue between sound, body, and image.

Pit Yourself Against brings into focus the invisible struggles and unspoken truths we carry when we are not at peace. Through newly created video and photographic self-portraits, Ma Ei reveals the fragility, resilience, and emotional depth of human experience, inviting reflection on what it means to seek peace in an increasingly turbulent world.

WHEN: Saturday 7 March, 2pm
VENUE: Counihan Gallery, 233 Sydney Rd, Brunswick

Free. Bookings required.
