Candidate forums are a unique can’t-miss experience and one of the best ways to inform your vote. They’re also one of the most powerful opportunities to show politicians just how much the community cares about particular issues. Before this election, let’s show our candidates that we demand urgent action to create a safe future by protecting the Australian environment that we all love, slashing power bills through more renewables, and standing up to the climate polluters, saying no to new coal and gas.
This forum will be chaired by the CEO of the ACF (Australian Conservation Foundation), Kelly O'Shanassy, and we will also hear from two guest speakers to help frame some of the big issues: Sara Hussein from Merri Food Hub, and Dr Ben Dunne from Doctors for the Environment.
Come along at 6pm to enjoy a deforestation-free democracy sausage sizzle (Halal and vegan options available).
Entertainment will be provided by The Climate Choir.
