SEMA YILDIZ AUSTRALIA 2024 - WORKSHOPS

For the first time ever, the living legend of Oriental and Roman Dans (Turkish Gypsy) dance, International Master Teacher, Actress and Dancer, will grace our shores. It will be her first time in Australia. She will give three workshops and call on her immense repertoire, from her dance experience of over 5 decades. She has taught many of the respected and talented Turkish Oriental and Roman dans style dancers worldwide. During her career she worked with many respected people and celebrities, including alongside Turkey's highly respected classical singing legend Zeki Muren, Clarinet virtuosos Selim Sesler and Savas Zurnaci, Music ambassadors BabaZula group, American singer and actor Eddie Constantine, Lebanese legend Nadia Jamal, Iranian beloved actress and dancer Jamileh. Sema even the amazing Eartha Kitt, whilst she performed at the Gallipoli Club in London! Sema was the first Turkish teacher invited to teach in Egypt, and is an absolute pioneer and ambassador for the dance in Japan: having taught thousands of students on her 14 tours there, and having countless teachers who have adopted her style. She has travelled to 25 countries in 4 continents to perform and teach, and Australia will be her 5th continent. Don't miss out on this amazing opportunity! WORKSHOPS: 1.5 hours each Saturday April 6th: 10am Turkish Oryantal 'Sema style' with Veil combinations workshop Sunday April 7th: 11am & 2pm Roman Dans -Technique & Choreography workshops SHOW: There will also be a Theatre Stage show spectacular in at "The MC Showroom", featuring Sema and a range of talented professional artists from Melbourne, Adelaide, Singapore and beyond!
