Prism by Artstop and Little Projector Company
Come to the launch of a free outdoor projection piece by Arts Access Victoria’s, Artstop Studio and the Little Projector Company.
Date: Tuesday 20 February
Time: 7.30pm
Location: The future Park Close to Home at 260 Sydney Road, Brunswick
There will be free nibbles and non alcoholic drinks, guest speakers, and a chance to meet the artists. This screening coincides with the 50th anniversary of Arts Access Victoria so we have lots to celebrate!
The event starts at 7.30pm, with speeches from 7.50pm and the projection starting at 8.15pm (sundown).
Supported by Merri-bek Council, the animated artwork is a response to Artstop’s recent ‘Shining a light into the darkness’ exhibition. The collaboration is a kaleidoscope of experience, expressed through transparent, optical elements. The artworks morph, refract and reflect the colours of the world and the colourful studio characters.
Participating artists: Caroline Alcalde, Christine Stokes, Josephine Lazidis, Julie White, Lisa Pownall, Margaret Bold, Melissa Derham, Miranda Cook, Pat Jones, Roslyn Teague Leigh and Theo Psathas.
