Paulie Stewart - all the Rage
Paulie Stewart was an original member of the infamous Melbourne punk band Painters and Dockers.
Today he continues to be an active member of the Melbourne music scene and a passionate advocate for the homeless. His connection to Timor-Leste evolved from the shocking death of his brother, who was one of the Balibo Five – a group of journalists murdered there in October 1975.
Ever entertaining, his adventures and misadventures have delighted audiences and drawn attention to the cause of independence for the people of Timor-Leste.
This year marks the 50th anniversary of the arrival of the first refugees from East Timor.
