Maurice Blackburn Oration

The Honourable Kim Carr is the longest-serving Victorian Labor senator in history and the author of A Long March, a compelling memoir of his life in politics. The former tech-school teacher entered politics inspired by the power of science and education to transform lives.

Kim is the keynote speaker at the 23rd Maurice Blackburn Oration, an event that honours the legacy of Maurice and Doris Blackburn, two pioneers of political and human rights activism. It is funded by their generous trust.
