In conversation with Ellen van Neerven

You are invited to join a captivating discussion about ‘Personal Score: Sport, Culture, Identity’, a groundbreaking work that reveals a larger picture of so-called-Australia and the way ‘we’ view sports, race, colonialism, gender and sexuality.

Immerse yourself in an enlightening literary experience with writer Ellen van Neerven (they/them) in conversation with academic Jeanie Leane as they tackle the uneasy and all too easily ignored facets of so-called-Australia’s relationship with - and reverence for - sports from a queer First Nations perspective.

Ellen van Neerven is an award-winning writer of Mununjali Yugambeh (South East Queensland) and Dutch heritage. They write fiction, poetry, plays and non-fiction.

This event is free and will be Auslan interpreted.
