Fawkner Memorial Park Death Café
Join us this Dying to Know Day at Fawkner Memorial Park for an open conversation about death and dying, facilitated by experienced end-of-life doula, Dina Smirnova.
What is a Death Café? Death Cafes are welcoming community spaces where people gather to talk openly about death and dying over a cup of coffee. They aim to normalise conversations about death, remove the stigmas, and increase community understanding and awareness about end-of-life experiences. These conversations happen without judgement and without any agenda to change others’ minds. It’s simply a safe space to explore one of life’s most universal experiences through meaningful conversation.
Please note that this event is not a grief circle, group therapy, or counselling session. If you’re unsure whether this event is right for you at this time, please reach out to our team.
Free to attend. Coffee and light refreshments will be provided. We’ll start promptly at 6pm so please arrive ten minutes early to settle into the space and help create the right atmosphere for meaningful conversation
