What your
council does.
Merri-bek Council
provides more than
150 services,
including:
waste and recycling
roads and footpaths
libraries
leisure and aquatic centres
planning and building permits
maternal and child health
Merri-bek has 11 elected members, called Councillors, and 3 wards.
Councillors represent the people who live in their ward.
Councillors make decisions about policy and services.
Council staff implement their decisions and provide services to the community.
We wrote it after talking to you.
