How to hire a hall

  1. Take a look at the details for each town hall on this page to decide which is right for your event.
  2. Check the venue's availability or make a tentative booking request on our eServices website. Booking requests for town halls must be made at least 4 weeks before your event.
  3. Fill in a venue booking form. You can find these on our Venue booking form page.
  4. Email your completed booking form to townhalls@moreland.vic.gov.au within 14 days. If you don't email us a completed booking form within 14 days we will cancel your tentative booking request.
  5. Once we receive your completed booking form, allow 5 working days for us to process it.
  6. If your booking is successful we will send you a confirmation letter.
  7. You must pay all the fees before your event.

Coburg Town Hall

Location

90 Bell Street, Coburg. This venue is about 500m from Sydney Road.

Hire fees

Prices effective from 1 July 2023 inclusive of GST.

You must clean and leave the venue by 1am on the day after your booking. We will charge you the penalty rate for the length of time you remain at the venue past our agreed booking time. You will find the agreed booking time on the hire agreement.

Public liability insurance fees are $32.95, and are available for community groups or private bookings. We do not provide public liability insurance to commercial bookings.

Bond fee is $652.00, or $1,305.00 for events that are categorised as high risk.

    • Free Use of ceramic dinner settings for up to 350 people. Each setting includes:
      • white ceramic 25cm dinner plate,
      • white 21cm ceramic side plate,
      • white 26cm ceramic bowl,
      • white ceramic 300ml coffee mug,
      • white ceramic teacup
      • saucer
      • 310ml wine glass.
      • stainless steel cutlery set comprising of a knife, fork, dessert spoon and teaspoon.

Brunswick Town Hall

Location

233 Sydney Road, Brunswick. This is a historic building that was built in 1876.

    Street parking is available. You can pay for parking opposite the Brunswick Baths. There is also free parking behind the Mechanics Institute.
