Exhibition Opening
Join us for the launch of 'Peonies, Still Life and a Duck' and 'Our Small Terrain'.
'Peonies, Still Life and a Duck' draws on the artists’ mixed cultural heritages, love of food and home spaces to explore ideas of play and identity. This exhibition features artworks by Karima Baadilla, Janelle Low and Pia Johnson (also known as the Curry Puff Pals).
'Our Small Terrain' explores solo artist Chaco Kato’s ongoing interest in the question: What is waste? She explores the border between art and non-art, natural and man-made and controlled and uncontrolled.
Speeches begin at 2.30pm with a Welcome to Country by Wurundjeri Elder.
Cr Angelica Panopoulos, Mayor of Merri-bek City Council will officially launch the exhibitions.
Did we mention there will be a tipple or two from Noisy Ritual and some snacks from Zaatar?
