Edible Weed Walk with Adam Grubb

This event has booked out.

Ever considered baking a nettle-and-feta pie, or eating purslane soup?

In this meandering Weed Walk with Adam Grubb, learn to identify edible and medicinal weeds in urban areas nearby the Gallery.

This program is presented in association with our current exhibition ‘A Plant in the Wrong Place’. To learn more about the exhibition, visit our A Plant in the Wrong Place exhibition page.

About Adam Grubb

Adam Grubb has been running edible weed walks since 2006. He runs an urban permaculture design, landscaping and education business, Very Edible Gardens, and also co-authored 'The Weed Forager’s' Handbook (2012) with Annie Raser-Rowland.

Suitable for

This program occasionally goes off-trail to forage in the scrub around Merri-bek. We recommend wearing comfortable clothes and sturdy shoes that you don't mind getting a little bit dirty.

While there are opportunities to rest during the program,  seating may not be available.

Children are welcome to attend this program, however they must be accompanied by an adult.
