Refugee Week Celebrations
Let's celebrate our healing together
Join us for a day of healing through storytelling, cultural performances, sharing food and more as part of the National Refugee Week celebrations.
This event is part of the National Refugee Week celebrations and is organised by a range of participating refugee and asylum seeker communities.
It will be an opportunity to hear from community leaders sharing their stories and to celebrate the achievements of refugees and asylum seekers in their journey to Australia and their contributions.
Event program includes:
- Congolese Bongo drumming
- Kurdish poetry reading
- Eritrean coffee ceremony
- Assyrian dancing
- Traditional food and market stalls
Representatives of organisations that assist refuges and asylum seekers will be there to provide information about their services
