Make Your Own Lazy Lizard

Looking for a garden friend or an easy indoor pet? In this 1 hour class, children (Ages 6-14) will learn how to sculpt a lazy lizard! Under the guidance of our experienced tutor, children will create a clay body and tail for their lizard, and learn key skills to attach a head and legs and add texture. Underglaze colours will be provided to decorate the finished pieces which will then be clear glazed.

Parents are welcome to stay during activities if they purchase an additional ticket, or can enjoy a coffee or tea on Lygon Street a short stroll away.

Ella Bendrups is a ceramic artist who creates innate forms refined for a modern context. Ella’s practice explores ancient clay and stone artefacts and their ability to transcend the times and cultures in which they were created. She embraces the expressive nature of hand building, pinching, coiling and carving clay to highlight the maker’s touch.
