Each year Bird Life Australia hosts an Aussie Bird Count. It is an activity that involves observing and counting the birds that live near you – whether that’s in your garden, the local park, a beach or even your town centre. By counting the birds you’ve seen within a 20 minute period, you will help Bird Life Australia develop an understanding of local birds whilst getting to know the wildlife on your doorstep. During this special Libraries After Dark craft activity, you will find out how to participate in the Aussie Bird Count using the official app and then make an ornamental bird from airdry clay to take home. This session is for people 16 years and over.
