The Merri-bek Festivals Development Program supports artists and producers in the creation of new performance, live art or participatory works to be premiered as part of the Fawkner Festa or Glenroy Festival.
The Expression of Interest process for 2024 has now closed and will reopen in April/May 2025.

The Wayfarers by The Task At Hand
The Wayfarers is a new site-responsive, roving experiential theatre performance that will incorporate themes of freedom, camaraderie, and daring. Additionally, The Wayfarers plans to explore the world of books and literature through a collaboration with Merri-bek Libraries, adding another layer of literary engagement to the experience.
The Wayfarers will be presented at Fawkner Festa 2024 and Glenroy Festival 2025.
The Wodsworth Annual Dog Revue by Lachlan MacLeod and NIOW
Attention all dog lovers of Merri-bek! The internationally renowned Wodsworth Annual Dog Revue is making its way to a park near you!
The Wodsworth Annual Dog Revue is a hilarious and surreal interactive performance extravaganza for children and their adults. Through participation and play, you will be invited to transform into dogs and trainers, then take part in a comical series of Best In Show activities.
The Wodsworth Annual Dog Revue will premiere at Glenroy Festival 2025.
